Qatari Al-Khulaifi and French, Falk before charges of spherical corruption
Today, Thursday, the Swiss judiciary filed charges of corruption with the Qatari President of the Paris Saint-Germain Club, Nasser Al-Khulaifi, and the former Secretary-General of the French Football Association, Jerome Falk.
The Swiss Public Prosecution stated that the charges against Al-Khulaifi and Falak are mainly related to a corruption case in order to grant television broadcasting rights to football competitions.
In a statement, the Swiss Attorney General's Office said that the same two persons "are involved in a corruption operation that grants the rights to broadcast several copies of the World Cup and the Confederations Cup."
The president of the "Q." Qatar is accused of providing luxury gifts to Jerome Falk to secure access to television broadcasting rights for the international competitive dates related to the case, and accuses the French of accepting bribes during the era of Blatter with "FIFA", to meet the wishes of Al-Khulaifi.
It is worth noting that in March last year, French investigators questioned Al-Khulaifi and one of his close associates about corruption in applying to host the 2017 World Athletics Championships, as Qatar did not succeed in its bid and London obtained the right to host the tournament.
