Zidan: Valverde did the right thing

French coach Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid's coach, expressed his happiness at the Spanish Super Cup, on Sunday, at the expense of arch-rival Atletico Madrid, on penalties.

 He also praised his player Fede Valverde, who denied Atletico a dangerous chance, in the second extra half, when Alvaro Morata obstructed the proceeding towards Courtois, to get the Uruguayan Red Card.

 "Valverde won the award for the best player in the tournament, and I am happy for him, because he did a great job," Zidane said during comments carried by the Spanish newspaper "Marca".

 He continued: "He did what he had to do .. It was a fatal mistake, but he did a good job .. In the end, the important thing was that he apologized to Murata."
