Sadio Mane wins 'CAF' award as the best player in Africa for 2019

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Tuesday evening the award of the best player on the continent in 2019 to Senegalese star Sadio Mane, who was crowned European Champions League company, accompanied by Liverpool.

 Sadio Mane outpaced the "prize race" over his rivals Mohamed Salah, his colleague in Liverpool, and Riyadh Mahrez, the Manchester City winger, who did not attend the ceremony for various reasons.

 Mane gave an amazing performance in 2019, as he led Liverpool to win the Champions League and compete for the Premier League until the last round, in addition to his rise to the 2019 African Nations Cup final and losing to Algeria (1-0).

 With this, the Senegalese broke the control of his colleague in Liverpool, Mohamed Salah, who achieved the award in the past two years, and he decided not to travel to the ceremony that took place this evening in his country without clarification or justification.
