Liverpool earns $ 105 million from Nike a year

Liverpool Football Club announced on Tuesday to sign a contract with the company "Nike" for clothing and sports equipment, which will continue for "several years" starting next season.


 Liverpool has not announced the financial details of the contract, but British media reports said the club, the Champions League holders and current Premier League leaders, will earn 80 million pounds ($ 105 million) a year.



 The Liverpool club stated on its website: Liverpool club is pleased to announce the contract with Nike Sportswear Company, to provide the team with the new season shirt 2020-2021.


 Beginning in June 2020, the American company will start manufacturing Liverpool play and training sets for the new season.  "Our team crews are a special part of our history and identity," said Billy Hogan, Liverpool's managing director.  We welcome Nike to the Liverpool family..As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions to grow, and we look forward to working with them to expand our fan base.


 "We would like to thank New Balance for their support since 2015, and we wish them all the best in the future," Hogan added.


 Bert Hoyt, Nike's vice president, commented: Liverpool has heritage and identity.  We seek a very bright future with the club.  We look forward to establishing a partnership with Liverpool to serve players and fans.
