Ibrahimovic's statue is being destroyed

The statue of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his hometown was vandalized again and almost completely removed from his base outside Malmö Stadium in Sweden.

The Milan striker attended the unveiling ceremony in October last year, but Sweden's top scorer has angered Malmö fans after he bought a stake in arch-rivals Hammerby in Stockholm and said he would turn him into the biggest club in Scandinavia.

Ibrahimovic started his career in Malmö before embarking on a career filled with titles in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, England, France and America.

Vandals snapped the statue's nose before Christmas, but the attack this weekend was the most violent.

Only the feet remained at the base of the statue, while the rest of the body fell on the wall surrounding the statue.  The phrase "Get away from here" is written on the ground near the statue.

The 38-year-old is expected to play his first match after returning to Serie A when Milan meet Sampdoria at the San Siro stadium on Monday.
