Everton bid farewell to the FA Cup against Liverpool youth

18-year-old Curtis Jones shook the net with a spectacular shot, to give Liverpool a 1-0 win at home to Everton, in their confrontation with the third round of the FA Cup, Sunday.

Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp introduced nine changes to his squad, placing three young men in the starting lineup, while his Italian counterpart Carlo Ancelotti relied on a strong squad.

Everton had the best chances, and Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian deprived Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Mason Holgate and Richardson from scoring in the first half, but Liverpool youths ventured into the second half.

Liverpool-born Jones, one of the club's academy players, dealt a knockout in the 71st minute with a spectacular shot in the top corner, leaving Everton without a win against his opponent since October 2010.
