Atletico Madrid reveals Barcelona's deadly vulnerability

A Spanish press report confirmed today, Friday, that the loss (2-3) against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super semifinals is due to the worst gap in Barca this season.

 According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Barcelona was superior to Atletico during the match, and created many opportunities against goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

 She noted that the fragility of the defense killed Barcelona against Atletico, who only reached goalkeeper Neto 6 times, all of them threatened the goal, and resulted in 3 goals.

 She explained that the defensive crisis did not appear only in the super but it stands out strongly in La Liga, after the team finished the first round in the future 23 goals, to make Barcelona's current defense the worst in the last 15 years.


 Barcelona did not receive more goals in the first round except during the 2003-2004 season under the leadership of Frank Rijkaard.

 The newspaper said that during Barcelona's first two games only in 2020, it conceded 5 goals, with two goals against Espanyol and three against Atletico.

 And she concluded that the Roquebelancos was not the first team to score a hat-trick against Barcelona this season, but that Levante preceded it in La Liga.
